Joining the Proximate Network
Christy Taylor is well known in the area as the leader of the all women jazz band, Shades of Blue, and as a music educator. She is also known as Bryan Stevenson's sister. Mr. Stevenson is the founder of the Equal Justice Initiative in Birmingham, AL, the author of Just Mercy, the force behind the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, also known as the Lynching Memorial, and so much more. Mrs. Taylor and others have formed the Proximate Network with the purpose of creating a public, charter, school of excellence in Georgetown. Her talk with be entitled Joining the Proximate Network.
The choices for lunch are:
Corn Beef and Cabbage Plate
Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad
Grilled Tomato and Portabella Sandwich with seasoned ricotta cheese
(Please note the sandwich may be prepared without cheese for vegan members)
Assorted cookies and brownies will be served, as well as iced tea, lemonade and water
The cost of the program is $20.00 to be paid with cash or check at the door.

Also we know many of you were planning to pay your dues at the last meeting...so please remember to bring a check to the Shore Democrats ($25 per person or $40 per couple) if you have not paid already. This money goes to support local and state candidates in the all-important 2020 elections.
